Wow– happy anniversary, swappers! Five years we’ve been at this game together. FIVE YEARS. Yay, us! Let’s celebrate. With food, like we do.

We’re having our fifth anniversary food swap on Saturday, August 27th, at Indianapolis City Market, from 2:30 – 4:30pm. In addition to our usual food swap, we’re celebrating with a cookbook swap. That’s right! If you have a cookbook that doesn’t get your creative juices flowing anymore, bring it along and trade it for something else that intrigues you. And feel free to bring as many cookbooks as you would like to swap. Just like the food swap, we’ll do a one-to-one ratio. So, if you bring one cookbook, you can take one home. If you bring five, take five. You get the idea. Any books left at the end without takers will be donated to the Indianapolis Public Library.

As usual, tickets to the swap are free, but space is limited and advance registration is required. The Eventbrite registration will open at 7:00am on Tuesday, August 9th, so bookmark this page to get in on the action early. We often fill up quickly and go to a waitlist.

New to food swapping and nervous about how it works? Never fear! Visit our F.A.Q. page to get all the details. We always have a great mix of veterans and newbies at our swaps, so know that you will be welcomed with open arms. Wherever good food is found, you are sure to find good people. The Indy Food Swap is full of good people, so don’t be afraid to give it a try.

If you read everything at the F.A.Q. page and still have questions, feel free to contact me by phone or email here.

Thanks for your support, enthusiasm, and friendship over these last five years, swappers. Let’s go for another five, shall we?

Swap love, hugs & kisses, and all that (happy, heartfelt, can’t-believe-my-good-fortune) jazz!
